So what is it all about …

My creative journey started from the age of 5 when I sat and watched my big brothers making comic books and knew that I wanted to draw for the rest of my life. From a child’s passion grew a womens career, after graduating first in my course in design at university I was unstoppable. All I want to do is create, and that is what this business is all about.

Cara Ord Create is three fold: illustration, design and education.

First and foremost will always be that little girl who loves to draw. I provide illustration services for children’s books and freelance commissions. My illustration is all about bringing joy and colour. Adding beauty and fun to the world.

Along with illustration I am an established designer, I have done work highlighting brands such as Audi and Fuji Film and I can do everything from business cards to books, events to websites. My design experience has spanned it all, starting in-house and branching out to agencies and freelance work. My work wouldn’t be worth it if I couldn’t share the wealth of knowledge I have gained and give back to the creative community. I share what I can in two ways. Firstly through my online classes. I have a new course up each month spanning all topics illustration and design. These can be found on my courses page. I also run weekly blogs on a plethora of creative topics, from advice on running a creative biz to mini tutorials and of course my inspiring illustrators highlight series.
